Sponsorship has become so much more than just a contractual matter. Anyone looking to perform in top sports needs reliable partners, who are serious and reliable with a portfolio of innovative products. The entire team has to give their all for mutual success. Even though in the end only one can cross the finish line first, for ABUS, second place does not go to the first loser. Sport is all about team spirit, self-sacrifice and deprivation, but also passion, dedication and discipline. It's about individual success as well as that of the entire team, the partners and for the remarkable sporting world.

Since it was formed in 2012, the RAD.SPORT.SZENE team from Ausseerland has been one of the most successful marathon racing teams in Austria, always keeping their eye on the goal of creating the best conditions for the world champions of tomorrow. The team consists of four elite riders, as well as four young racers who are supported by the network and experience of the "old hands".
Their shared motto drives them all on: "We want to be one of the top teams in Europe. Because cycling is our life."
The mixed all-ability cycling team featuring eight top athletes has been a permanent fixture in German cycling for years. The team focuses on training young cyclists and supporting them on their way to the top.

When RAD RACE was founded, the idea was to bring cyclists from all disciplines together. The primary objective of RAD PACK wasn't to win races, but to have as much fun as possible in wild and crazy cycling races. The team rides wearing the Tec-Tical Pro 2.0 sport helmet.
"We are very honoured to have these helmets in our team kit and can only say how grateful we are for the huge and continual support."
"In 2016, the helmets protected our heads time and time again when we fell during a race. We wear them in the Tour De Espana, the Tour D'Iceland and in Hamburg at the Cyclassics.
Our mission: Stop Racism – Start Raceism!"
The goal is the 2020 Olympics in Japan. The clear goal of the two sailors Simon Diesch and Philipp Autenrieth is to take part in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
The newly formed team has already reached the top of German sailing after six months, becoming the German champions in the 470 class in October.
They are now undergoing intensive winter training on the Mediterranean coast, before heading further south to Spain in January.
The two Berlin-based swimming clubs "Schwimmclub Spandau 04" and the "Spandauer Wasserfreunde", both formed before the First World War, combined to become one club in 1950. ABUS has been supporting the Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 with team and social sponsorship since 2013.
To say this year has been eventful is an understatement: from the training camp in Mallorca to South Africa and finally Down Under, where a bronze medal was won. Then came the European Championships in Lisbon, which ended with a solid finish in seventh place.
This was followed by the German Championship in Hamburg, which was completed with another new course record. And just one week later was the World Championship in Rotterdam.
Number 7 in the world! The last stop was Viernheim, where last year's championship title in the super sprint was defended with success.
"Naturally, I wouldn't have been able to achieve anything without everyone who has supported me so far. I'd like to thank you all once again from the bottom of my heart for a great season and hopefully many more to come."
ABUS has been supporting Benjamin Lenatz since 2014, providing the paratriathlete and wheelchair basketball player from Radevormwald with a helmet, among other things.
Verena Walters started her athletics career with track and field in her youth with TV Deilinghofen and LG Menden. Since 2004, the media designer's passion has been the triathlon. In 2015, she claimed top spots in Ironman competitions in Mallorca, Lanzarote and Wales. She made it to first place in Ironman South Africa in 2011 and in Ironman Switzerland in 2010. His specialist discipline: paracycling. Hans-Peter Durst may have made a name for himself up to 2011 mainly as a paratriathlete, but since 2011 he has been concentrating primarily on cycling. Since then, he has already won a fair few medals. His list of victories is long, including world champion in individual time trials in 2011, 2013 and 2014, as well as world champion in street racing in 2014 in Greenville/USA (after his world championship victory in 2011 in Roskilde/Denmark). From 2011 to 2014, he took "double" victory as the German champion in individual time trials and in street racing. He was also the only German athlete to be the German champion from 2009 to 2013 in all paratriathlon stages. In 2012, Hans-Peter Durst won a silver medal in paracycling at the Paralympics in London.
"The next big goal? That has to be taking part in the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016!" said Hans-Peter Durst two years ago. And this is what he achieved: He won two Olympic gold medals in the individual time trials and in the Paralympic street racing – of course wearing an ABUS cycling helmet, which the athlete has been sporting since 2014.
